Fairfax, Va. --  The George Mason Patriots (4-7-2, 3-2-0) return home to face the VCU Rams (4-8-2, 2-3-0) on Saturday, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. at George Mason Stadium. Gates open at 5 p.m.

Mason dropped their second Atlantic 10 matchup this season against the Duquesne Dukes last Sunday by the score of 0-1. Although, the Patriots remain undefeated against conference opponents at home.

In Sunday's loss to the Dukes, Mason managed only three shot attempts over the full 90 minutes of play. The Patriots will be looking to reignite their offense in order to return to the win column. During the Green and Gold's last appearance at George Mason Stadium, the home crowd was treated to a show as Mason netted a season-high four goals in a 4-0 victory over the St. Bonaventure Bonnies. As the Patriots prepare to return to their home turf, they will look to rediscover their offensive rhythm and build momentum heading into the second half of conference play.

SCOUTING THE RAMS

Leading the Rams are freshman forward Isabelle Franklin and redshirt junior forward Jensyn Lins, both of whom have recorded eight points this season. Franklin and Lins have each contributed two goals and four assists, playing pivotal roles in VCU's attack. Junior midfielder Vivian Vendt has also added two goals to the Rams' tally. Beyond their primary offensive contributors, six additional players have each found the back of the net once.

Defensively, junior goalkeeper Mia Pongratz has started all 14 matches for the Rams. She has recorded three shutouts, made 67 saves, and holds a goals-against average of 2.01.

PATRIOTS SCHEDULE

The George Mason University Women's Soccer Team's 2025 schedule features a competitive slate of matchups highlighted by regional rivalries, Atlantic 10 battles, and a strong mix of home and away contests. The Patriots will play 18 regular season matches, including 10 at home at George Mason Stadium.

George Mason began the campaign with a 1-1 draw on the road at William & Mary on Thursday, August 14.

The Patriots wrapped up August with a four-game stretch that included home matches against Delaware and James Madison, followed by road games at Villanova and UPenn.

The Green & Gold rounded out non-conference play in September with a 1-0 win at Loyola Maryland and a 0-0 draw against American.

Mason kicked off A-10 play with a 2-1 home victory over George Washington on Saturday, September 20. Following matchups against Richmond, La Salle, St. Bonaventure, and Duquesne, the Patriots now hold a 3-2-0 conference record.

The Green & Gold will close out the regular season with five more A-10 matchups, hosting VCU (Oct. 11) and Davidson (Oct. 16), traveling to Fordham (Oct.19) and Dayton (Oct. 23), and finishing at home against Saint Joseph's on Sunday, October 26.
