Box Score FAIRFAX, Va. - The Patriots women's basketball team overcame a slow first half to score 66 points in the second half, beating George Washington 91-50.
The first half was rough for both teams. Neither could seem to put the ball in the basket, but GW lead 30-25 at the break.
Kennedy Harris was leading the Patriots in scoring with 9 points, a lead she maintained the rest of the game, finishing with 23.
In the second half, the Patriots came alive. Outscoring the Revolutionaries 30-15 in the third quarter, and 36-5 in the fourth quarter, the Green & Gold shot 60.5% from the floor and 61.9% from three in the final 20 minutes.
Spurred by clutch plays by Harris,
Zahirah Walton,
Ta'Viyanna Habib, and
Nekhu Mitchell, the Patriots completed the sweep of GW for the regular season.
