FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason University men's basketball team (14-5, 5-1) heads to the Empire State for a Tuesday night contest at St. Bonaventure (15-4, 3-3).
Tip-off between the Patriots and Bonnies is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday's game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+, featuring commentary from Brendan McDaniels and Adam Bennett. In addition, Voice of the Patriots Bill Rohland will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with streaming coverage beginning at 6:45 p.m.
PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots have won four in a row and 12 of their past 14 games. GM is coming off a thrilling double OT victory vs. GW on Saturday. The Patriots rallied from 10 down (50-40) with 10:41 to play and withstood a host of Revolutionary rallies.
• The win improved the Patriots to 5-1 in A-10 play for the first time since the 2018-19 campaign, when GM started 7-1.
• The Patriots currently sit in first place in the Atlantic 10 and are two games ahead of fifth in the league ledger.
• Saturday's win marked the Patriots' first victory in double overtime since a 87-85 win at Saint Joseph's on Jan. 20, 2021.

Darius Maddox notched 17 points and a season-best six rebounds in the win. Over the past three games, he's averaging 18.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and shooting 51.2 percent from the floor (.444 3pt FG).

Jalen Haynes added 17 points and eight rebounds, while
K.D. Johnson tallied a season-best 15 points, five rebounds, three steals and three assists in a season-high 34 minutes.
• GM has held its opponent under 40 percent shooting in 73.7 percent (14 of 19) of their games this season. Since 1998-99, GM's best rate holding opponents under 40 percent is in 20 of 33 games in 2008-09 (.606).
• The Patriots are 12-1 when shooting 30 percent or better from from 3pt range on the season.

Jared Billups grabbed a career-best 16 rebounds vs. GW. It marked the second 16-rebound performance by a Patriot this season, as
Jalen Haynes also had 16 vs. Mt. St. Mary's on Dec. 28.
• Tuesday's game marks the start of a stretch in which the Patriots will play three of their next four contests on the road.
• George Mason has won its first four A-10 home games for the first time since the Patriots joined the league in 2013-14.

HISTORY vs. ST. BONAVENTURE
Tuesday's matchup marks the 18th all-time meeting between Mason and SBU. The Bonnies hold a 12-5 advantage in the series, including an 11-3 edge since Mason joined the A-10 in 2013-14. However, the Patriots have won two of the past three meetings. GM will look to earn its first win in Olean since December 2004. The Bonnies hold a 7-1 advantage inside the Reilly Center. Last season, the Patriots took a 69-60 victory in Fairfax on January 20, 2024.

A LOOK AT THE BONNIES (15-4, 3-3 A-10; NET #84, KenPom #89)
St. Bonaventure was picked to finish 10th in the A-10 preseason poll, but the Bonnies impressed during the non-conference slate with a 12-1 mark, including a 74-70 win over Providence. SBU is 3-3 to begin A-10 play and holds a home win over preseason league favorite VCU. The Bonnies rank 78th nationally in overall defensive efficiency (1.012 points/possession allowed) and commit just 12.9 fouls/game (7th lowest in country). Chance Moore leads the team in scoring (14.9 ppg) and grabs a team-best 7.7 rebounds/contest. Melvin Council Jr. is at 14.2 points/contest, leads the A-10 with 2.4 steals/game and dishes out a team-best 4.0 assists/contest. Noel Brown (12.7 ppg), Dasonte Bowen (11.1 ppg) and Lajae Jones (10.8 ppg, 48.3 3pt FG%) also average double figures for the Bonnies.
