KINGSTON, R.I. – The Patriots will head north to Rhode Island where they'll take on the Rams on Sunday, Jan. 12. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. at the Thomas M. Ryan Center. Sunday's game will be broadcast nationally on the CBS Sports Network with Julianne Viani- Braen and Alex Del Barrio on the call. In addition, radio coverage will be available on the GoMason Digital Network, beginning at approximately 11:45 a.m.
George Mason is 4-7 historically with Rhode Island. The two teams first played when the Patriots joined the A-10 in the 2013-14 season. The Rams have won the last five matchups and the Patriots haven't won since 2019 when they won 75-69.

- Sophomore Kennedy Harris and junior Zahirah Walton have led the Patriots is scoring so far this season, averaging 15.5 ppg and 12.1 ppg, respectively.

SCOUTING THE RAMS
The Rhode Island Rams were on a three-game winning streak before they dropped their most recent Atlantic 10 matchup against Davidson, 55-65. Sitting at 7-9 overall (2-1 in the A-10), the Rams are 3-4 on road games coming into Sunday. The last time these two teams played each other, Rhode Island pulled away with a victory at home, 70-68.
Two players are currently averaging double figures in scoring for the Rams, led by transfer center Harsimran Kaur, who averages 12.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. She is tied for first on the team in blocks with 15, ranking her eighth in the conference, averaging 0.94 per game. Harsimran also ranks second in the A-10 in doubles doubles with five and eighth for field goal percentage (46.1%). Senior guard Sophie Phillips averages 10.0 points and 1.0 rebounds per game. She is ranked first in the conference and 20th in the nation for three-point attempts (114) and ninth in the conference for three-point percentage (30.7%).
Another notable player is Anaelle Dutat, who leads the team in rebounds per game (8.2) and averages 7.6 points per game. She is ranked seventh in the A-10 and 98th in the nation for rebounds per game (8.2). She also leads the team in steals (31), which ranks her fifth in the conference. Sophia Vital averages 5.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. She leads the team in assists (68), ranking her second in the A-10 and 69th in the nation.
As a team, Rhode Island currently boasts the best offensive-rebounding team in the Atlantic 10 conference, averaging 16 per game, ranking them 13th in the nation. The Rams also lead the conference in blocks per game (4.1) and have the second-best scoring defense in the conference (55.1).
