GAME PROGRAM

FAIRFAX, VA. – The George Mason women's soccer team (2-7-3, 0-2-1 A-10) travel to play George Washington University (3-5-2, 1-1-0 A-10) Sunday, September 29th, at 1 p.m. in George Washington Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT
The Flyers came out with seven shots in the first half, with a shot finally hitting the back of the goal in the 21st minute scored by Liv Grenda, assisted by Noel Blain. The Dayton offense came out hot in the second half scoring in the 53rd minute, scored by Ella Raimondi assisted by Kyra Karfonta. They didn't stop there and added one more to the scoreboard in the 64th minute with a header goal by Laney Smith assisted by Molly Russell and Maddie Bowman.

Goalkeeper Victoria Coninck had four saves on the day.

Dayton had the advantage in corner kicks 8-2 and in total shots 19-6

SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY 
Last game out George Washington lost to Saint Louis 4-0. Saint Louis registered all four goals in the first half, two of which came in the first four minutes of play. The Billikens tallied two goals in the fourth minute, one in the 21^st and the final score in the 31^st. Emily Gaebe registered SLU's first score, her seventh of the season, which is fourth-best in the conference

Last Thursday, GW opened conference play with a 1-0 victory over St. Bonaventure. The win marked the first time the program opened A-10 play with a win since 2020-21 season. Grad student Lauren Prentice came up clutch in the victory over the Bonnies, recording the game-winner in the 78^th minute off assists from Amelia Booth and Kate McGrath. Senior Ainsley Lumpe was stellar in goal, tallying her first clean sheet of the season and turning away four shots. 

HISTORY WITH GEORGE WASHINGTON
The Patriots lead the all-time series against George Washington (24-3-5). Last time these two teams met was in 2023 when the Patriots secured a win 2-1 over George Washington.
