FAIRFAX, VA. – The George Mason women's soccer team (2-7-3, 0-2-1 A-10) travel to play George Washington University (3-5-2, 1-1-0 A-10) Sunday, September 29th, at 1 p.m. in George Washington Stadium.

The Flyers came out with seven shots in the first half, with a shot finally hitting the back of the goal in the 21st minute scored by Liv Grenda, assisted by Noel Blain. The Dayton offense came out hot in the second half scoring in the 53rd minute, scored by Ella Raimondi assisted by Kyra Karfonta. They didn't stop there and added one more to the scoreboard in the 64th minute with a header goal by Laney Smith assisted by Molly Russell and Maddie Bowman.

Last Thursday, GW opened conference play with a 1-0 victory over St. Bonaventure. The win marked the first time the program opened A-10 play with a win since 2020-21 season. Grad student Lauren Prentice came up clutch in the victory over the Bonnies, recording the game-winner in the 78
th minute off assists from Amelia Booth and Kate McGrath. Senior Ainsley Lumpe was stellar in goal, tallying her first clean sheet of the season and turning away four shots.
