FAIRFAX, VA. – The George Mason women's soccer team (2-6-2, 0-1-0 A-10) play the VCU Rams (2-6-0, 1-0-0 A-10) Sunday, September 22nd, at 1 p.m. in Richmond, Virginia. This will be the Patriots first away conference match up.

George Mason lost 3-0 to the Fordham Rams. Both teams went scoreless in the first half with Fordham having ten shots compared to the Patriots three. Goalkeeper
Victoria Coninck had four saves in the first half and five in the second. The Fordham Rams finally reached the goal in the 77th minute on a penalty kick, scored by Lena Johnsen. A few minutes later the Rams Liina Tervo scored, assisted by Abby Borchers. The Rams scored a last second goal in the 90th minute to secure the win 3-0. Fordham had the advantage in corner kicks 7-4 and total shots 26-11. The George Mason Patriots had the advantage on defense, with nine total saves in goal compared to the Rams two.
SCOUTING VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY
Last game the VCU Rams beat Davidson 1-0. Y-Van Nguyen scored the only goal of the game in the 64th minute assisted by Paige Hoeger. VCU had the advantage in corner kicks 4-2 and in shots 15-5, with ten of the shots being on goal. VCU's goalkeeper had two saves compared to Davidson's nine.
