FAIRFAX, Va. – This weekend, the George Mason Volleyball program will host the Patriot Invitational. Three teams, in addition to the Patriots, will compete in a total of six games: Gardner-Webb University, Morgan State, and FDU.
 
On Thursday at 6 p.m., the Patriots will take on the Morgan St. Bears. The Bears are 3-8, with wins over Bowie St., Manhattan, and UPenn. Freshman Aubrey Wilson was named MEAC Rookie of the Week this week after 13 kills, 14 blocks, and four aces in last weekend's tournament at UPenn. Daniela Ferreira leads the Bears in kills with 85 on the season. The Patriots lead the series over the Bears 3-1.
 
Then on Friday at 7 p.m., the Green & Gold will face off against the FDU Knights. The Knights are 4-5 on the season, with wins against Radford, Iona, and Lafayette, twice. Eleonora Tosi leads the nights with 94 kills and 102.5 points. Lihi Zaibert leads the team in blocks with 21.0 on the season. This will be the first match-up between the Patriots and FDU.
 
Finally, on Saturday at 5 p.m., the Patriots play their final non-conference match against the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs. The Runnin' Bulldogs are 2-9, with wins against Lamar and UNC Charlotte. Cayton White leads the team in kills with 111, and Milla Lugo leads them in blocks with 19.0. This is the first match-up between George Mason and Gardner-Webb.

• The Patriots are 3-6 so far in the 2024 season, with their latest win coming last Friday against Navy in the Mason Invitational Tournament, 3-1.
• Sophomores Chelsea Colter and Camryn Weldon were named to the Mason Invitational All-Tournament Team.
• Senior Olyvia Kennedy leads the team with 84 kills and 91.5 points on the season.
• Weldon and red-shirt junior Damiana Bova-Ford lead the team in assists with 175 and 149, respectively.
• Colter leads the team in blocks with 33.0 on the season.
• Sophomore Autumn Martinez-Robinson leads the Patriots in digs (127) and service aces (20).
