FAIRFAX, VA- The George Mason women's soccer team (2-5-2) battled today but dropped an afternoon match to the Delaware Blue Hens (2-4-2), 4-0, inside the Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium in Newark, Delaware.

The Blue Hens came out quick, Brooke Vogel scored the first goal of the game just six minutes in to the match. The Patriots turned up the defense and only let Delaware score one more time in the first half. The second half was quiet until the 74th minute when the Blue Hens Maggie Groh scored, assisted by Carly Binn. Delaware kept pushing and scored a last minute goal in the 88th minute to go up 4-0. Patriots goalkeeper Victoria Coninck had four total saves on the day. The Blue Hens had a 18-2 advantage on shots and a 6-3 advantage on corner kicks.
