FAIRFAX, Va. – This weekend, the George Mason Volleyball program will host the Mason Invitational. Three teams, in addition to the Patriots, will compete in a total of six games: Old Dominion University, Quinnipiac University, and the U.S. Naval Academy.
On Thursday at 6 p.m., the Patriots will take on the ODU Monarchs. The Monarchs are currently 5-2 under head coach Fred Chao, a former assistant for the Patriots women's program (1998-2004) and head coach for the Patriots men's program (1999-2015). ODU is nationally ranked in kills, services aces, and team assists.
Then on Friday at 7 p.m., the Green & Gold will face off against the Navy Midshipmen. The Midshipmen are 0-6 on the season. Anuhea Hauanio-Lore leads the team in kills (35), Isa Boyd has tallied the most assists (77), Ava Toppin has put up the most blocks (13), and Hannah Hoover has recorded the most digs (58).
Finally, on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., the Patriots play their second match of the season against the Quinnipiac Bobcats. The first match-up was last weekend during the Tribe Invitational, where the Patriots won 3-1. The Bobcats are 1-6 on the season, with their sole win coming in their first game of the season against Rhode Island.

- The Patriots are 2-4 so far in the 2024 season, with their latest win coming last Friday against Quinnipiac in the Tribe Invitational Tournament, 3-1.
- Sophomores Chelsea Colter and Autumn Martinez-Robinson were named to the Tribe Invitational All-Tournament Team.
- Senior Olyvia Kennedy leads the team with 51 kills and 56 points on the season.
- Sophomore Camryn Weldon and red-shirt junior Damiana Bova-Ford lead the team in assists with 111 and 98, respectively.
- Colter leads the team in blocks with 21.0 on the season.
