FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason leaves Washington DC with a 1-1 draw against the Howard Bison after a back-and-forth action for all 90 minutes. The Patriots earn its second tie of the season and continue to look for their first win (0-1-2). 

Howard took an early lead scoring in the 12^th minute with a goal by Mimi Richards, her third goal of the season. 
 
Madyson Taylor was introduced into the game and had an immediate impact for George Mason. The Patriots attempted attacking from various angles and the goal finally came with a wonderful shot by Taylor. The ball seemed to be lost but with a shot from outside the box, Madyson tied the game up in the 86^th minute for George Mason.
 
George Mason attempted 12 shots with eight of them being on target. Selamawit Caldart played the full 90 minutes and made eight saves. 
 
The Patriots will host their first home game of the regular season on Sunday, August 25 at 6 pm. William and Mary will be traveling to Fairfax and George Mason will be celebrating Green and Gold Night with a stress soccer ball giveaway, The Mason Maniaks raffle prize, and post-game autographs.
