It has been a busy 2023-24 international basketball campaign for 19 former George Mason student-athletes, who are representing the Patriots with pride across the globe.
 
Competing in his fifth season of professional basketball, former All-A-10 guard Otis Livingston II ('19) put together a highly-decorated campaign while competing for Wuerzburg Basket in Germany. Joined by fellow A-10 alum Javon Bess (Saint Louis). Wuerzburg finished fifth in the Bundesliga. Livingston II averaged an impressive 20.6 points while dishing out 5.4 assists and 1.7 steals. In recognition of his exceptional efforts, Livingston II was named Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year in the BBL. He is now signed with Galatasaray Ekmas Istanbul in the Turkey-BSL for the 2024-25 season.
 
In his eighth year overseas, Shevon Thompson ('16) averaged 14.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks in 26.4 minutes per game with SLUC Nancy Basket Pro in France's highly-competitive Betclic ELITE ProA league. Thompson recorded nine double-double while guiding Nancy to 16 league wins.
 
Also suiting up in the French Betclic ELITE ProA League, D'Shawn Schwartz ('22) played for Le Mans Sarthe Basket during the 2023-24 season. He averaged 7.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and shot 35.8 percent from deep on the season while guiding Le Mans to 15 league wins.
 
Elsewhere on the European circuit, Schwartz's former teammate DeVon Cooper ('23) just finished his first season of professional basketball in Denmark with Team FOG Naestved. He averaged 11.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists while making 69 3-pointers on the season. Cooper heloed Naestved put together a strong 22-10 record and third-place finish in the Denmark-BasketLigaen.
 
Heading to the Balkans, former All-A-10 guard Marquise Moore ('17) dominated the Bosnia Division 1 league with the Spars Realway Sarajevos in his seventh pro season. He averaged an impressive all-around 20.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.8 steals over the 22-game season. He scored in the double-digits in every game and scored the second most total points in the league (460 total points).
 
In Slovenia, Javon Greene ('21) finished up his second season overseas with Rogaska Crystal in the Liga Nova KBM. He averaged 9.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.6 assists while guiding Rogaska to a seventh-place finish.
 
Remarkably, two members of the Patriots' 2006 Final Four team are still making waves across the globe. Will Thomas ('08) recently wrapped up his 15th season abroad in Spain for Unicaja in the Spanish Liga Endesa. The Baltimore, Md. native averaged 5.6 points and 2.6 rebounds in 15.5 minutes. George Mason's most decorated international player of all time, Thomas helped Unicaja finish second overall in the standings and advance to the semifinals of the league playoffs.
 
Meanwhile, Gabe Norwood ('07) continues to star as a basketball and cultural icon in his home country of the Philippines. He recently finished his season as a member of Rain or Shine in the Philippino PBA.
 
Back in Europe, Jalen Jenkins ('17) just finished his fifth season of prob all as a member of Ovarense GAVEX in the Portuguese Liga Betclic. He averaged 11.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists while helping Ovarense to a 14-8 record and a fifth-place finish in the league standings.
 
In his first year overseas, Victor Bailey Jr. ('23) contributed an average of 13.3 points and 20.6 minutes for the Karlsruhe PS Lions in Germany's ProA league. The Lions finished the season seventh in the league table.

And in Azerbaijan, George Mason shot block king AJ Wilson ('21) averaged 10.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks for Sabah BK Baku, which captured the ABL Championship in large part of Wilson's outstanding performance. 
 
Back stateside, Justin Kier ('20) played in 20 games with the Austin Spurs in the NBA G-League in the 2023-24 season. He averaged 4.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 14.1 minutes/game during the season. The Spurs finished 20-14 and were one spot out of qualifying for the playoffs.
 
Jaire Grayer ('19) suited up for both the Greensboro Swarm and Indiana Mad Ants in the NBA G-League this past season as well. He averaged 5.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.6 steals as a member of the Swarm.  
 
Kier and Grayer's former teammate, Ian Boyd ('20), also competed in America with the North Carolina Capitals of the ECBL.
 
2014 graduate Byron Allen is playing in Puerto Rico. He spent time on Nizhny Novgorod, Athletico de San German, and Leones de Ponce during the 2023-24 season. He's currently averaging 12.3 ppg, 4.3 apg, and 2.4 rpg in his first seven games with Leones de Ponce. The team is currently fifth in the Puerto Rico – BSN.
 
Other Patriots overseas include journeyman and former CAA Player of the Year Ryan Pearson '12 (Mets de Guaynabo - Puerto Rican BSN), who averaged 5.6 points in his 12th professional season, as well as Darryl Monroe '07 (Anyang - South Korean KBL).
