George Mason golfers Aryan Vuradi and JJ Powell played in the 2024 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship (PWCC), the most culturally significant championship in collegiate golf, the past three days.

Playing in the event for a second straight year, Vuradi (76-70-79=225) finished tenth in the Men's Individual Division at the 37th edition of the event played on the Stadium and Dye's Valley courses at TPC Sawgrass. The sophomore had a two-under-par 70 in the second round on the Valley Course.

The Brambleton, Va. native finished fifth in the men's individual division in the 2023 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship.

Playing in his first PGA WORKS tournament, Powell finished 14th overall (79-75-77=231). The first round was highlighted by a birdie on the famed 17th Island green hole.

The Championship was created in 1986 to highlight golf programs at the most underserved and underrepresented Minority-Serving Institutions on a national stage, and educate and inspire student-athletes to pursue career opportunities in the business of golf.
