Fairfax, Va.- Mason ends the home stretch with another win and have gone undefeated at the RAC, winning all 11 games that have been played. It was a special day for the seniors as well, playing their final regular season home game.

The first set began with both teams taking turns on scoring and it remained a close game until it was 6-6. Mason went on a four-point run including kills by
Colin Heath and
Omar Hoyos to extend the lead to 9-6. Harvard attempted to comeback, but another five-point run by the Patriots lowered the Crimson's hopes. The score was 23-14 in favor for Mason when Harvard locked in and scored six unanswered points to cut the lead down to 23-20. George Mason may have been caught off-guard but they recuperated and scored the final two points with a kill by
Troy McDonald and an ace by the super sub,
Hayden Karpinski.
Mason came out strong in the second set scoring five quick points. Harvard did not back down and would go on a three-point run later in the set to come back and regain the lead, 12-11. From that point on, it was a back-and-forth game from both squads with the score being tied in seven occasions. At 23-23, Owen Fanning from Harvard had a bad set and with a
Jason Ashenfelter block, Mason secured their 24
th and 25
th point.
The home crowd was excited, the team was excited, everybody was ready for what was happening in the court. Mason was one win away from finishing the regular season undefeated at home. The Patriots came out firing achieving a 7-0 lead with two kills and three service aces by
Omar Hoyos. Harvard attempted to get back into the game but Mason was motivated and would go on a four-point run later in the set the seniors showing up once again to secure the points and lead 18-10. Once Mason reached the 20
th point, it was time for the seniors to be subbed off one by one to receive a standing ovation by the fans.

Hayden Karpinski came on for the legendary
Omar Hoyos. Mason was one point away from winning the game and it was secured with a service error by Zach Berty from Harvard. A historic season for the Patriots, undefeated at home winning all eleven games.

By the Numbers:
- Omar Hoyos led the team once again in kills with 13 and reached a new career-high of seven aces
- Jason Ashenfelter was clutch in defense recording six blocks
- Troy McDonald continues leading in assists with 25 and had the most digs with eight
- Paul Wyszynski also had eight digs and four assists
- George Mason had a hitting percentage of .213 while Harvard recorded a .104 hitting percentage

Mason will go back onto the road and travel to Pennsylvania to face No.9 Penn State on Friday and Saturday. It will be the final two conference games for the Patriots and will determine who ends up with the #1 seed in EIVA.
