Fairfax, Va.- Jack Bolz has been named the AVCA National Player of the Week on Tuesday, April 2
nd. The award takes into consideration many volleyball players from across the country and
Jack Bolz stood out from the rest this past weekend.
Bolz was previously named the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week after an unforgettable weekend defeating Sacred Heart and No.15 Princeton. He recorded 35 kills with a .394 hitting percentage, 14 digs, and five blocks. Mason remains undefeated at home and is currently on a nine game winning streak.
Omar Hoyos was the most recent recipient of the AVCA award, winning it on March 19
th, 2023. Before Omar, it was Paco Velez who won the award back on March 3
rd, 2015. There has been a total of seven Patriots who have earned the title of AVCA National Player of the Week, it now goes up to eight with the addition of
Jack Bolz to the list.
