Fairfax, Va.- EIVA have announced the athletes who have been named to the All-EIVA First Team, All-EIVA Second Team, and the All-Academic Team. Senior outside hitter,
Omar Hoyos, has been named to the First Team for the first time in his career.
Jack Bolz and
Paul Wyszynski were named onto the Second Team and
Troy McDonald,
Colin Heath, and
Sam Peters were the honorable mentions for this year.
The EIVA All-Academic Team included
Jason Ashenfelter (3.76 GPA/Criminology, Law and Society),
Hayden Karpinski (3.38 GPA/Business Management),
Paul Russell (3.64 GPA/Cyber Security Engineering),
Colin Heath (3.61 GPA/Business Management),
Sam Peters (3.91 GPA/Conflict Analysis & Resolution),
Omar Hoyos (3.77 GPA/Communications),
Georgi Zahariev (4.00 GPA/Computer Science), and
Jack Bolz (3.91 GPA/Curriculum and Education).
Omar Hoyos was named into the All-EIVA Second Team for the past two years but this time, he finally achieved the recognition he deserved after an amazing season to close off his collegiate career and made it into the First Team. Omar played in 99 sets from the 100 that were played this season and recorded 316 kills on a .280 hitting, 38 assists, 56 aces, a .961 service reception, 166 digs, and 39 total blocks. This is the first time since 2020 that a Patriot has been named into the first team, the last player was Jack Reese.
Jack Bolz and
Paul Wyszynski was named into the All-EIVA Second Team.
Jack Bolz was named into the second team previously in 2022 together with
Omar Hoyos.
Jack Bolz played 72 sets with 218 kills on a .260 hitting, 10 assists, 22 aces, 91 digs, and 36 blocks. Jack was also named the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week on April 1
st and AVCA Player of the week on April 2
nd.
Paul Wyszynski makes it into the second team for a second straight year after playing 100 sets, a .956 service reception, 179 digs, and one EIVA Defensive Player of the Week on March 11
th.
