Fairfax, Va.- No.19 George Mason will be playing its second conference game at home on Saturday when they face No.15 Princeton. Before that clash, Mason will face its final non-conference game of the season against Sacred Heart University on Friday at 7 pm. The Patriots are currently on a seven-game winning streak, losing no games at home this season.
Sacred Heart and George Mason have played a total of 23 games since 2011. Mason led the head-to-head series with 20 wins and losing only three time against the Pioneers. The last time that the Patriots have lost against Sacred Heart was on February 15, 2014 at Connecticut. Since that day, Mason have won every game that has been played, achieving a 16-game winning streak against the Pioneers. Both teams have had an encounter earlier this year on January where Mason left Connecticut with a clean sweep, 3-0.
The ranked conference matchup will be on Saturday at 5 pm when No.19 Mason will have to face No.15 Princeton. Both teams have faced each other a total of 38 games since 2005. The head-to-head series is even with the Patriots winning 20 games and the Tigers winning 18 games. Princeton hosted the Patriots on March 1
st, 2024 at New Jersey where Mason was swept, 0-3. From the last nine game played, Mason have only been able to win one game which happened on April 1
st, 2023. Four of the nine game have been played at home and Mason were defeated, the last home win at Fairfax was in 2018.
