Three George Mason wrestlers competed in the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Wrestling Championships at T-Mobile Arena in Kansas City, MO.
 
The Patriots DJ McGee (Stafford, Va./Bullis Prep), Evan Maag (Bethlehem, Pa./Notre Dame), and Malachi DuVall (Centre Hall, Penns Valley Area) fell in their first-round championship matches, but the Mason wrestlers earned two wins in the consolation bracket.
 
Indiana's Brayton Lee needed sudden victory to defeat McGee in his first bout as an NCAA Qualifier, SV, 4-1. In the consolation round one, McGee won by a 4-2 decision against UNC's Sonny Santiago. The redshirt freshman will battle Ryder Downey from Northern Iowa in the consolation second round on Friday.
 
No. 4 Iowa State's David Carr earned a technical fall against Maag wrestling at 165 pounds. In the consolation round, the redshirt freshman fell to Little Rock's Joseph Bianchi. The Bethlehem, Pa. native finished the season with a 29-11 record.
 
DuVall dropped his opening round match to No. 3 Dustin Plott from Oklahoma State. In the preliminary consolation round DuVall won by fall against Tomas Brooker from Appalachian State, before falling to Cornell's Chris Foca in the consolation round.  He finished is sophomore season with a 19-12 record.
 
The last time the Patriots had three wrestlers qualify for the NCAA Championship was in 2018-19, with Tejon Anthony (149) Colston DiBlasi (149) and Matthew Voss (285).
