Fairfax, Va.- No.17 George Mason will be facing Tusculum in a two-game series to extend its winning streak to seven games. Mason still sits as the number three seed in EIVA and has been ranked 17
th by AVCA for the sixth week in a row.
Last time out, George Mason won both games against Mount Olive. Friday night had an amazing crowd thanks to the students and staff from Oak View who came out to support the Patriots. Mason swept the Trojans with exceptional performances by
Omar Hoyos,
Jackson Herbert, and
Georgi Zahariev.
Lucas Little had a noteworthy defensive display and was awarded the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week award.
Omar Hoyos also placed his name into the record books by achieving 1,000 career kills on Saturday, the Patriots won once again on Saturday, 3-1.
One game has been played between the Patriots and the Pioneers on February 8
th, 2020. Mason walked away with the win, 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-13). The match was hosted in a neutral venue at Charleston, West Virginia.
