Fairfax, Va.- Lucas Little was named the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week on March 18, 2024. This is the third time that Lucas has received this award in his career, and it is the first one this season.
The junior middle blocker was a key component to defeating Mount Olive during the weekend to extend the winning streak to five games. Lucas had four kills, four blocks, and one dig in the first game against the Trojans. Lucas improved his game in the second round against the Trojans recording six kills and a career-high nine blocks.
Lucas Little recorded 30 total blocks so far this season averaging 0.97 blocks per set. Lucas has been key in the offense as well notching up 48 kills in 31 sets to have an average of 1.55 kills per set. The middle blocker has scored 79 points for the Patriots as well this season.
Lucas Little and the Patriots will be back in action on Friday at 7 pm and on Saturday at 5pm to face Tusculum.
