BRONX, N.Y. - The George Mason University men's basketball team (18-9, 7-7) wraps up a two-game road swing with a trip to the Bronx to battle Fordham (11-16, 5-9) Tuesday.

Tip-off between the Patriots and Rams is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+. In addition, Bill Rohland will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with streaming coverage beginning at 6:45 p.m. (ET).

PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots check in at 89th in Tuesday's NET rankings. That's the highest Mason has been at this point of the season in program history. The team also is No. 98 in the KenPom rankings.

• The Green & Gold played two of the top-3 teams in the A-10 last week. Mason beat #16/16 Dayton 71-67 on Wednesday in Fairfax and fell 80-59 at Loyola Chicago on Saturday.

Amari Kelly notched a game-high 19 points and made a career-best three triples on five attempts Saturday against the Ramblers. Darius Maddox added 17 points and made a personal best eight free throws on nine attempts.

• Loyola Chicago held sophomore Keyshawn Hall to a season-low five points on Saturday. It marked the first time Hall held below 10 points since Jan. 13 at Richmond.

• The Ramblers shot 55.6 percent from the floor Saturday, marking just the fourth time this season a Mason foe has shot 50+ percent from the floor. The Patriots are 1-3 in those contests.

• Loyola Chicago held a +4 (35-31) rebounding edge Saturday. Mason is 17-3 when winning the battle on the boards this season but just 1-6 when its opponent holds a rebounding advantage. The Patriots lead the A-10 in rebounding margin (+4.7) this season.

• Over the past four games, head coach Tony Skinn ('06) has expanded his rotation from eight players to 10. Three student-athletes have seen significant minutes increases. That trio includes Austin Ball (17.2 mpg), Tre' Wood (14.1 mpg) and Malik Henry (12.9 mpg).

• Kelly ranks 21st nationally in true shooting percentage (.659). Since 1992, he is one of just 89 Div. I players to average 10+ points/game with splits of at least .550 FG%/.450 FG%/.750 FT%. He is the only Mason player and one of just three A-10 players in that span to accomplish the feat. He is one of four players nationally this season to feature those splits.

• Freshman Baraka Okojie ranks t-5th in the A-10 in steals in league play (1.9) and is 10th amongst all Div. I freshmen in free throw attempts (117).

• Mason ranks 14th nationally in 2pt FG defense (.452) and 30th in overall FG defense (.406). That 40.6 percent FG defense mark ranks fourth best in school history.

• Hall leads the A-10 in defensive rebounds/game (7.5), rebounds/game (8.5) and double-doubles (9). In league play, he is third in the A-10 in free throw percentage (.884) and also is shooting 48.2 percent from the floor and 35.3 percent from 3pt range.

• Mason has dropped five of its past six road games. During that stretch, Mason foes have shot 37.6 percent from 3pt range and held a +1.5 rebounding advantage against the usually rebounding-adept Patriots.

HISTORY vs. FORDHAM
Tuesday's matchup marks the 16th all-time meeting between Mason and Fordham. The Rams hold a 9-6 advantage in the series, although the Patriots have won six of the past nine matchups. Fordham has enjoyed a 4-1 advantage all time in the Bronx. The teams also have met four times in the A-10 Tournament. The Patriots won last season's overtime contest in Fairfax, 64-58, on March 1, 2023. Then-junior Ronald Polite III scored eight of his 12 points in the overtime session to help propel the Patriots to victory.

A LOOK AT THE RAMS (11-16, 5-9 A-10; NET #182, KenPom #198)
Fordham was picked to finish seventh in the A-10 preseasoh poll. The Rams put together a 6-7 non-conference slate, highlighted by a win over top-100 North Texas. Fordham snapped a four-game losing streak with a 79-67 home win over Duquesne Friday in the Bronx.  The Rams thrive on generating chaos and playing physical. Fordham ranks 28th in the nation in blocks (4.9/game), 38th in steals (8.3/game) and 50th in turnovers forced (14.0/game). Japhet Medor leads the team in scoring (10.7 ppg) and shoots 36.4 percent (40-110) from 3pt range. Will Richardson adds 10.0 points/contest, while Kyle Rose is second in the A-10 in steals/game (2.1) and chips in 9.8 points/contest.

UP NEXT
