FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team returns to EagleBank Arena on Saturday for the second rivalry matchup of the season with George Washington.
George Mason and George Washington will meet for the 46th time in program history as the Patriots look to sweep the Revolutionaries in a regular season home-home series for the first time since 2019. Mason downed GW on the road on Jan. 24, 57-41, for its' first road win in Washington, D.C. since 2019. All-time, GW leads the series 30-16, while Mason holds an 11-8 edge in Fairfax.
The last time out, Mason dropped a midweek road game at Davidson, falling to the Wildcats 75-67. On the other hand, the Revolutionaries picked up a convincing 79-41 victory at home over La Salle on Wednesday.

- On Monday, Zahirah Walton was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the fifth time this season after averaging 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for Mason
- Against Davidson on Wednesday, Ta'Viyanna Habib led the Patriots with the first double-double of her career with 18 points and a personal best 10 rebounds
- Sonia Smith leads the team with 14.7 points per game (7th, A-10) and is fifth in the Atlantic 10 with 15.6 points per game against conference opponents. She also leads the team with 3.1 assists per game (11th, A-10)

SCOUTING THE REVOLUTIONARIES
George Washington sits at 10-15 overall and 3-10 in Atlantic 10 play. The Wildcats began the season at 12-1, but since a win over La Salle to begin the new year, Davidson is just 5-5. However, the Wilcats have won their last three contests, including a gritty 48-45 road win over Loyola Chicago the last time out.
Three players average double-figure scoring for the Revolutionaries, led by Nya Roberton's 15.6 points per game (4th, A-10). She is also the team leader in three-pointers with 54 makes on the season at a .335 clip for 2.5 per game (4th, A-10). Nya Lok (10.9) and Essence Brown (10.1) also contribute 10+ points per game. Lok is also second on the team with 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest.
Mayowa Taiwo leads the team with 6.3 rebounds (11th, A-10) and 1.7 steals per game (9th, A-10), while also contributing 5.0 points and 1.7 assists. Pacing the offense is Asjah Inniss who dishes out 2.2 assists per game to go with 5.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
