ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Patriots women's basketball team closed out the Navy Classic with a decisive win over host Navy, 85-63.
After a heartbreaking loss the day before, George Mason came to play on Sunday afternoon. Four players finished in double-digits, led by sophomore
Kennedy Harris who posted 25 points on 57% shooting, and added 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
The Patriots started on a 14-5 run, but Navy clawed their way back into the game. Midway through the second quarter, it was 35-35 when the Green & Gold put their foot on the gas. They finished the half on a 12-2 run and entered the locker room up 49-37.
George Mason didn't slow up until the end of the fourth quarter, running up their lead to as much as 23 points. Shooting 40% from the floor and 43% from three, the Patriots found their mojo again, and are entering conference play on a win.
