FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's soccer team claimed the Atlantic 10 Regular Season title with a 0-0 draw against VCU on Saturday night at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond, Va.
It's George Mason's first A-10 regular season championship in program history. The Patriots will enter the Atlantic 10 Championship as the top seed and will host eighth-seeded La Salle on Nov. 8 with the opening kick scheduled for 7 p.m. at George Mason Stadium.
George Mason (12-3-1, 6-1-1 A-10, 19 Pts.) entered the match against VCU (4-6-7, 1-4-3 A-10, 6 Pts.) needing a result to clinch the top spot in the conference.

Jaume Salvado (10-3-1, 4-1-1 A-10) was flawless in the first half, making four saves to keep the Rams off the board and posted his fifth clean sheet of the season.

The Patriots outshot the Rams, 13-10, while both clubs recorded four shots on goal. George Mason had seven corner kicks and VCU finished with four corner kicks in the match.
