Fairfax, Va.— The George Mason wrestling team swept two road matches this weekend against MAC opponents. After a dual win on Friday against Edinboro, the Patriots disposed of Clarion (0-2, 0-1), 26-9 inside Waldo S. Tippin Gymnasium this afternoon.

The Patriots (5-0, 3-0 MAC) broke a three-match losing streak to Clarion having last defeated Clarion on Nov. 17, 2019 by a narrow, 19-18, margin. George Mason sits atop the MAC East standings with a 3-0 conference record.

Three George Mason wrestlers earned bonus points for the Patriots, led by technicals falls by Evan Maag (165) and DJ McGee (157), and a major decision by Ben Monn (125). Maag recorded his third straight technical fall on the season adding to his two falls, to improve to 6-1. McGee improves to 5-1, and Monn to 7-2.

Malachi DuVall (5-0) remains undefeated the season with a 4-0 decision over Clarion's Adrian Gacek at 184 pounds.
