FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball offense highlighted the night in an 89-66 win over the Monmouth Hawks.
Senior Paula Suárez scored the first five points of the game, and the Patriots never looked back, leading the entire game. Sophomore
Kennedy Harris led the way with 20 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Her 7-for-7 from the free throw line is a career-high.
Monmouth put a little bit of pressure on the Patriots in the third quarter, but the Patriots bounced back and capitalized off of the Hawks' turnovers. The Patriots scored 26 points off of Monmouth's 25 turnovers. George Mason had only eight turnovers in the game, limiting Monmouth's points opportunities.
The Patriots finished the game by shooting 62.5% from the field in the fourth quarter. All available players played a minimum of four minutes and 12 of the 13 available players scored.
