FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's volleyball team lost a midweek match up to George Washington, 0-3. The Revolutionaries controlled the game from the get-go, despite a good effort from the Patriots, eventually winning in straight sets: 18-25, 22-25, 22-25.
The Patriots (6-11, 1-4 A-10) struggled to string together points against regional rival GW (14-4, 4-1 A-10) on Wednesday evening. After the Revolutionaries controlled set one, the Patriots fought in sets two and three to keep the game within reach. In the final two sets, the Green & Gold managed to stay in, and even control the first half of the set, but couldn't fend off the late set run that GW made, eventually winning the sets and the game.
