FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason graduate student forward
Marek Gonda scored two goals in the second half to lift the Patriots to their fourth straight win with a 2-1 victory over La Salle on Saturday night at McCarthy Stadium in Philadelphia, Pa.
Gonda scored his third game-winner of the season in the 83rd minute when he found the lower right corner of the net from six yards out.

Martim Sereno started the play when he worked into the right side of the penalty area and sent a pass to graduate student defender
Jordi Navio Sanchez, who played the ball in front to Gonda.
Gonda leads the club in goals (6) and game-winning goals (3). He has scored in three straight matches with five goals in that span, including two goals in each of the last two games.
After a scoreless first half George Mason (9-1-0, 3-0-0 A-10) took the lead over La Salle (3-5-3, 1-1-1 A-10) early in the second half.
Patriots' sophomore midfielder
Quentin Clain was fouled inside the penalty area in the 49th minute. Gonda took the penalty kick and converted into the lower left corner to put the Patriots in front, 1-0.
In the 72nd minute, La Salle graduate student midfielder Andrew Rosenbaum scored off a throw-in with a header from just outside the box to even the score, 1-1.

Jaume Salvado started the match but left the game in the 18th minute. Redshirt sophomore
Blake Moness made four saves to earn his first collegiate win in his NCAA debut.

The Explorers outshot the Patriots, 17-13, including a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal. La Salle had 11 corner kicks and George Mason finished with seven corner kicks in the match.
Sereno (75 minutes) led all players with four shots and notched his third assist of the season,
Jordi Navio Sanchez recorded his fourth assist of the season, while Gonda (82 minutes) had three shots and led all players in the match with two shots on frame. He scored on both of his shots on goal.
