Fairfax, Va.- George Mason travels back to North Carolina to compete in the Pirate Cross Country Invitational hosted by ECU. The day begins with the men's 8k race at 9 a.m. with the women's 6k race following up at 9:45 a.m. George Mason enters as a regionally ranked team, 14
th in the Southeast region. The men's performance last week has opened the eyes of the USTFCCCA to rank the Patriots above Clemson.
The meet will be holding 23 teams; American, Campbell, Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina, Davidson, East Carolina, Elon, George Washington, ECU, Hampton, Milligan, Mt. Olive, NC State, Norfolk State, Radford, Richmond, UCF, UNCG, UNCW, VCU, William & Mary, and Winthrop.
The course, Lake Kristi, has been used for various important meets throughout the years such as the NCAA Regional Championships and several conference championships for the American Athletic Conference.

George Mason men's team placed 4
th at the Adidas XC Challenge in a meet that contained various ranked teams including Clemson, Wake Forest, NC State, and Duke. Led by
Wesley Bond, the Patriots finished above Clemson and competed strongly with the rest of the ranked teams.
The women's team placed 6
th facing many ranked teams on the course as well.
Ella Semple finished first for the Patriots (22
nd) with a time of 17:32.4.
Kenzie Dillman (31
st),
Maisie Burns (18:09.3),
Ellie Desmond (18:28.3), and
Nourene Nabbus (18:34.8) all collected points for the Patriots.
