FAIRFAX, VA- The George Mason Patriots (3-10-6, 1-5-4 A-10) end their last match of the season in a draw, 1-1, against Duquesne University (9-7-0, 3-6-1 A-10).
Before today's match, we honored four seniors;
Katelyn O'Donnell,
Sydney Dacus,
Milan Pierre-Jerome, and
Zoë Vidaurre.
Senior
Sydney Dacus scored her first goal of the season in the 48th minute; Assisted by
Rachel Eberly. The Duquesne Dukes kept the energy and tempo up in the second half to even the score in the 74th minute. Goal by Maya Matesa; Assisted by Mackenzie Muir.
Goalkeeper
Selamawit Caldart started for the Patriots today and had an incredible game. She faced a career high of 27 shots and made a career high of 13 saves on the day. She made a few key diving saves to keep the Patriots tied with the Dukes in the second half.
Rachel Eberly recorded her first assist of the season to teammate
Sydney Dacus for the goal.
