FAIRFAX, VA. – The George Mason women's soccer team (3-8-5, 1-3-3 A-10) host the Richmond Spiders (3-9-2, 1-6-0 A-10) Sunday, October 20th, at 2 p.m. We are celebrating our amazing alumni community on Alumni Day and having our annual Pups at the Pitch day.
LAST TIME OUT
The first half of the match between the Patriots and Hawks was quiet.The Hawks took 15 shots compared to the Patriots five and had the advantage in corner kicks 5-2. Goalkeeper Katie Cappelletti recorded her two saves of the whole match in the first half, while the Patriots goalkeeper
Victoria Coninck had eight saves.
The second half is when the Hawks landed a shot to the back of the net. In the 64th minute, Sarah Fisher scored a goal, rocketed to the top left corner. George Mason recorded only one shot in the second half while the Hawks had six.
Victoria Coninck recorded four more saves in the second for a career high of 12 saves.
