Fairfax, Va.— The George Mason wrestling team completed its three-match road stance with a convincing win at Bloomsburg. The Patriots won nine of the ten matches to defeat the Huskies, 37-3, in Bloomsburg, Pa.
Mason (10-7, 3-3) extended its win streak against the conference opponent to five straight and lead the series with a 9-6 record.
The Patriots earned bonus point in four matches. At 133, Mason's Brandon Witttenberg earned a tech fall, 20-3, against the Huskies Major Lewis.
Paul Pierce (174) and
Malachi DuVall (184) also earned technical falls. The Patriots
Kaden Cassidy won by major decision against BU's Cade Balestrini.
DuVall has won six of his last seven matches and improves to 12-9. He has won 10 matches this season by bonus points.
Evan Maag earned a 13-9 decision against Caden Dobbins to improved to 18-9 at 165 pounds.
