FAIRFAX, Va. – The Atlantic 10 conference released the 2023-24 women's basketball schedule on Tuesday, featuring four home/home pairings an appearance on CBS Sports Network.
 
A season ago, the Patriots finished the Atlantic 10 regular season at 8-8, highlighted by three-straight to close out the regular season en route to the No. 9 seed in the Atlantic 10 Tournament. Mason earned a first-round bye and upset No. 8 La Salle in the second round. The Patriots battled with top-seeded UMass in the quarterfinals, ultimately falling by a 13-point margin.
 
The Patriots will kick off the Atlantic 10 season on Saturday, Dec. 30 when they host La Salle in EagleBank Arena in a rematch of the teams' Atlantic 10 second round game. Mason won that game 64-58, avenging its' regular season loss to the Explorers.
 
January opens with back-to-back road games. Mason will first travel to Rhode Island to take on last season's regular season Co-Champions on Tuesday, Jan. 2. The Patriots will then battle on national television with the Duquesne Dukes on Sunday, Jan. 7 on CBSSN.
 
Mason will then host two games at home beginning with Davidson on Wednesday, Jan. 10. After a weekend bye, the Patriots will host the 2022-23 Atlantic 10 Champions, Saint Louis, in Fairfax on Wednesday, Jan. 17. After a trip to UMass, the 2022-23 Atlantic 10 regular season Co-Champions, on Sunday, Jan. 21, Mason will take the short drive into DC for the first installment of the Revolutionary Rivalry with George Washington on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
 
The Patriots will wrap up the month of January with two home games, first with in-state rival VCU on Sunday, Jan. 28. The Fordham Rams will then make the trip to Fairfax for a midweek matchup on Wednesday, Jan. 31.
 
Mason begins the month of February on the road at Loyola Chicago on Saturday, Feb. 3 before returning home for a Thursday meeting with the Saint Joseph's Hawks on Feb. 8. Another two-game road swing begins with Dayton on Sunday, Feb. 11 and wraps with a trip south to Davidson on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
 
Three of the Patriots' last four games in February will be played inside EagleBank arena, starting with George Washington on Saturday, Feb. 17. A midweek road trip to St. Bonaventure on Wednesday, Feb. 21 precedes Mason's final home games against Richmond on Saturday, Feb. 24 and Dayton on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
 
The final regular season game of the year will be on the road at VCU on Saturday, March 2. The following week, the Patriots will travel to the Henrico Sports & Entertainment Center outside of Richmond, Va. for the 2024 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship, with first round action beginning on March 6.
