FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason Assistant Vice President/Director of Athletics Marvin Lewis announced today that Todd Bramble will serve as the interim head women's soccer coach effective immediately.
Manya Puppione, who has led the Mason women's soccer program since the start of the 2021 season, is on leave.
Since June 2021, Bramble has served as Mason's Deputy Athletic Director, Intercollegiate Sports and is currently a member of the department's strategic leadership team. Prior to his role in athletic administration, Bramble was Mason women's soccer head coach for seven seasons.
During his 21 seasons leading collegiate soccer programs – Bramble has posted 188 career wins with four different programs: Butler men's soccer (2000), women's soccer at Clemson (2001-07) and Alabama (2008-14), as well as the aforementioned Mason women's soccer program (2015-21). Additionally, Bramble has spent the past three decades serving in a multitude of leadership positions in intercollegiate athletics, which include coaching, mentoring, leadership and staff development.
Mason will host its A-10 home opener against VCU on Sunday, September 17 at 3 p.m.
