Davis Crittenden tallied his first collegiate goal to lead the Patriots to a 4-0 victory over Navy on Monday night at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Va.

Mason (1-2-2) took the lead over Navy (2-4-0) in the 27th minute of play. The Patriots took a low shot on frame that was stopped by the Navy goalkeeper. The rebound found the right foot of Diouf, who blistered a shot into the upper left corner from eight yards out to put the Patriots in front, 1-0. Slavov picked up the assist on the goal.

Three minutes later, the Patriots extended their advantage.

In the 30th minute, graduate student midfielder
Luis Maestre worked low on the left side and sent a cross into the penalty area that was deflected by the Midshipmen. The ball bounced to Slavov, who found the upper right corner of the net to make it a 2-0 game.

Mason freshman midfielder
Giovanni Sanna-Lenzi picked up his first collegiate assist, while Maestre registered his team-leading fifth assist on the play. He is second in the Atlantic 10 in assists.

The Patriots stuck again 30 seconds into the second half when Diouf scored his second goal of the match into the lower right corner to extend the advantage to 3-0. Sanna-Lenzi registered his second assist of the match while freshman midfielder
Brent Fields notched his first NCAA assist on the play.

The Patriots held the Midshipmen without a shot on goal for the first 75 minutes of the match.

In the 88th minute, Crittenden maneuvered past a pair of Navy defenders from the top of the penalty area and scored his first collegiate goal into the lower right side of the net to make the score 4-0. Junior defender
Ahmed Mohamed picked up his first assist of the season on the play.

Jaume Salvado (1-2-2) made two saves to earn his first win in a Mason uniform. Navy junior goalkeeper Pierce Holbrook made six saves in the match.

Mason improved to 1-1-1 at home, while Navy fell to 0-2-0 on the road.

The four goals scored in the match are the most by the Patriots since a 5-4 victory over Gardner-Webb on Sept. 8, 2018 at George Mason Stadium.
