COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Incoming men's volleyball freshman Jackson Herbert has been named to the U19 Beach National Team Roster, announced by USA Volleyball last week.
 
Herbert, a Virginia native, will join athletes from the U19, U21 and U23 rosters at the National Team Development Program (NTDP) summer training block from July 23 to Aug. 2 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in California.
 
"Last year I was selected as an alternate for the U19 beach team, so close to my goal yet not close enough," Herbert shared. "This motivated me to work harder this following year and I can't be happier with where my dedication has brought me. I'm very thankful for all the coaches and trainers that pushed me to be my best and to all those that have given me this amazing opportunity."
 
The Briar Woods High School graduate and Hawaii men's volleyball signee Kai Rodriguez will then represent the United States at the First Caribbean Beach Volleyball Invitational Tournament on Aug. 4-6, 2023.
 
We are excited for Jackson to represent not only team USA, but also George Mason in his upcoming international beach tournament," said head coach Jay Hosack. "It shows the caliber of the student-athletes that we are bringing in."
