FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason women's volleyball program has released its 2023 schedule, which features four non-conference tournaments, including three at home, and an 18-game Atlantic 10 slate.
 
The Patriots finished the 2022 season at 7-22, including 3-15 in Atlantic 10 play with wins over VCU, Duquesne and Rhode Island. Mason will return Atlantic 10 All-Rookie selection and several top offensive players to the court in 2023. 
 
Along with 11 returners, Mason is set to welcome six newcomers to the roster, including two graduate transfers and four freshmen.
 
Mason will open the 2023 season with the DC Challenge, and will play all three opponents at home this year. The team will open with American and Georgetown on Saturday, August 26 and host Howard on Sunday.
 
The Patriots will spend Labor Day Weekend in South Orange N.J. for the Seton Hall Tournament and play NJIT, Seton Hall and Saint Peter's. The next two weekends, Mason will host the Mason Invite Sept. 8-9, featuring Brown, Robert Morris and Radford and the Patriot Invite Sept. 15-16 with Middle Tennessee State, UAlbany and Seattle.
 
Atlantic 10 play will kick off the weekend of Sept. 22 when the Patriots travel to Rhode Island, followed by home matches against Saint Louis on Sept. 29 and 30.
 
Mason opens October with three-straight road matches against Revolutionary Rival George (Oct. 4) and Dayton (Oct. 7-8). The Patriots will then host three different opponents in a five-game home-stand, beginning with 2022 Atlantic 10 Champion Loyola Chicago on Oct. 13-14. Mason will then host Davidson, who made a deep run in the NIVC and advanced the semifinals, on Oct. 20-21 and wrap up the home-stand with the second half of the Revolutionary Rivalry with GW on Oct. 25.
 
The Patriots will then travel to in-state rival VCU on Oct. 28-29 and wrap up their road schedule at Duquesne on Nov. 3-4. They will close out the regular season with home matches against Fordham on Nov. 10-11. 

Admission is free for all Patriots' women's volleyball home games played at the RAC.
