FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team released their 2023 season schedule today. The 18-game regular season will feature nine home games and nine away matches. The season will also have eight non-conference games and 10 conference games.

The Patriots will play one exhibition game at Delaware State on Aug. 8 in order to get themselves ready for the regular season the following week.

Mason will kick off the season with a home opener, as they will host Old Dominion on Aug. 17 at George Mason Stadium. This will be the Patriots' first season opener at home since the 2020-21 season.
 
Following their home opener, the Patriots will be on the road for the next two games. They will play at Appalachian State on Aug. 20, followed by East Carolina on Aug. 24.

Mason will finish off their final five non-conference games with an alternating home-and-away schedule. They will start with a home game against Virginia (Aug. 27), followed by William & Mary (Away, Aug. 31), Villanova (Home, Sept. 3), Maryland (Away, Sept. 7) and Iowa (Home, Sept. 10).

Mason will play their first Atlantic 10 Conference game away at Fordham on Sept. 14. They will then host VCU in their conference home opener on Sept. 17.

The next two road games for the Patriots will then be at Richmond (Sept. 21) and Saint Joseph's (Sept. 24). The following two games will be played at home, when the Green & Gold will host Saint Louis (Sept. 28) and Rhode Island (Oct. 1).

Mason will take a week off and then be on the road for the next two games. They will travel to play at La Salle on Oct. 10, followed by Dayton on Oct. 12.

The Patriots will finish up the regular season with two home matches. Mason will host George Washington on Oct. 15 and play their finale against St. Bonaventure on Oct. 19 at George Mason Stadium.

The Atlantic 10 Tournament quarterfinals are slated for Friday, Oct. 27 & Saturday, Oct. 28. Semifinals will be on on Wednesday, Nov. 1 and the championship final will take place on Sunday, Nov. 5.

George Mason Women's Soccer regular season home games will require a ticket for entry. Tickets will be $10 and are available for purchase online in advance, calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 703-993-3270, or by purchasing at the George Mason Stadium Gate.
