Jacksonville, Fla. – Student athlete
Micah Harris competed in the NCAA East Regionals on Wednesday night, finishing in 33rd place in the 800m with a time of 1:50.53. He finished 15 spots above his original seed, as the 48th qualifier.
"Micah ran very credibly tonight - came in as the 48th qualifier and finished 33rd, beating 15 men that came in ranked ahead of him - but it was a big learning experience," said Coach Gerard. "He's had an outstanding season but knows there's more there. He'll be back on Friday for the 4x400m and can channel some of that energy then and into next year. Lot of unfinished business still for him."
During the outdoor season,
Micah Harris won the 800m at the A-10 Championship (1:49.58) and clinched his spot in the NCAAs at the IC4A/ECAC Championship (2nd, 1:48.84). Harris posted a 1st place finish at the Meet of Champions (1:49.43) and 2nd at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational (1:51.47).
