2023 Outdoor: Competed in nine meets...Won the decathlon at the A10 Championships with the second-best Patriot score ever (7393 points) and with personal bests in the 100m (10.92), shot put (12.79m) and 400m (50.05)...Took 1st in the decathlon at the Spec Towns-Torrin Lawrence Invitational with 7331 points...Posted a 1st place finish in the high jump at the UCF Black and Gold Invite (2.05m)...Earned 4th in the long jump at the Colonial Relays (6.95m)

2023 Indoor: Competed in seven meets...Won the heptathlon at the A10 Championships with the second-best Patriot score ever (5340) and with a personal best in the 60m (7.12)...Placed 2nd in the heptathlon at the Crimson Elite with 5130...Recorded a 2nd place finish in the high jump at the Villanova Invitational (2.05m) and 3rd at the Navy Select (1.95m)

2022 Outdoor: Competed in eight meets… Atlantic 10 champion in the decathlon with a PR of 6,788 points… Finished first in the high jump in the decathlon with a season-best mark of 2.05m at the championship meet… Notched second in the high jump at the IC4A/ECAC Championships (May 13-15)… Took 11th with a total of 6,704 points in his decathlon debut at the Tennessee Relays (April 7-9).
 
2022 Indoor: Competed in seven meets… Atlantic 10 champion in the heptathlon, posting a personal-best 5,269 points in the event… Placed second in the 60m hurdles at the VMI Classic (Feb. 11)… Finished fourth in the heptathlon at the Wesley Brown Invite (Jan. 21).

2021 Outdoor: Competed in six meets… Earned a pair of silver medals in the high jump (2.06m) and 4x400 relay (3:16.27) at the A-10 Outdoor Championships (May 1-2)… Registered a personal-best mark of 56.87m in the javelin at the Mason Spring Invite (April 11)…  Placed first in the high jump and second in the 4x400 relay at the JMU Invite (April 17)… 11 top-10 finishes in 2021. 
 
2021 Indoor: Competed in three meets… Placed first in the high jump twice… Registered a season-best mark of 2.05m in the event at the VMI Keydet Invite (Jan. 16).

2020 Indoor: Notched VaSID Second Team All-State honors… Earned gold medal in the heptathlon with 4,974 points at the Atlantic 10 Championships… Rounded out the A-10 Championships with a fourth-place finish in the high jump (2.05m)… Posted personal-best mark of 5,132 points in the heptathlon at the Patriot Games… Notched first in the high jump with a career-best mark of 2.11m at the Father Diamond Invitational.

2019 Outdoor: Nine top-10 individual performances… Recorded an eighth-place finish in the high jump at the IC4A/ECAC Championships (May 12)… Placed sixth in the high jump and 14th in the javelin throw at the A-10 Outdoor Championships (May 5)… Posted mark of 2.10m in the high jump at the Duke Invitational (April 20)… Notched career-bests in both the discus throw (31.10m) and javelin throw (47.55m) at the Mason Invitational (April1 3)… Recorded career-best time of 15.71 in the 110m hurdles at the Raleigh Relays (March 30).
 
2019 Indoor: Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year... Earned a silver medal in the heptathlon with 4,947 points to go along with a silver medal in the high jump (2.04m) at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Feb. 24… Notched gold medal with 5,096 points in the heptathlon at the Patriot Games (Jan. 26)… Posted nine top-10 individual performances… Finished first in the high jump at the Scarlet & White Invitational (Feb. 2).

Prep: Four-time Virginia state champion and 12-time All-State at Atlee High School in Mechanicsville, Va. 

Personal: Son of Glenn and Kim Gardner... Has one brother, Ross, who played football at the University of Virginia... Majoring in public health.
