ATHENS, Ga. – The Patriots finished up at the Spec Towns and Torrin Lawrence Invitational and kicked-off the Dalton Ebanks today.

Over the course of yesterday and today, Abigail Weening and Lindsey Schmidt dominated the heptathlon, while Cason Gardner did the same in the decathlon.
Weening placed 1st with 4745 points, taking 1st in the 100m hurdles, shot put, long jump and javelin throw. Schmidt grabbed the silver, winning the high jump event (4464). Gardner won the gold in the decathlon (7331 points), notching 1st place in the 100m, long jump, shot put, high jump, 400m, 110m hurdles, discus throw, javelin throw and 1500m.

Garsen Gross finished in 5th in the hammer throw (54.63m), followed by Robert Kestyn and Arsaln Yaqubi in 7th and 9th (53.29m, 52.16m). Kevin Ciocco earned 13th and Alexis Martinez-Medina 21st (47.21m, 31.03m).
In the women's hammer throw, Grace Gaudin took 4th and Olamide Enajekpo 5th (48.27m, 47.86m). Up next, was Maya Stanley and Fiona Agyekum in 14th and 18th (41.52m, 34.88m).
