FAIRFAX, Va. – The Patriots Men's Volleyball Team is hosting two games against the #3 Penn State Nittany Lions this weekend, including senior night on Saturday at 5 P.M.

Last Saturday, the Patriots traveled to Princeton and defeated the Tigers 3-0.
Chey Cooper led the offense, with 10 kills (.348%), one set assist, an ace, three block assists, five digs and 13 receptions. Defensively,
Sam Peters tallied seven block assists, two digs and five kills (.571%). The Patriots led in kills (36-28), blocks (12-10), assists (32-27) and digs (30-21).
So far this season,
Omar Hoyos leads the team in kills with 252 (3.50 per set) and
Liam French is second with 214 (2.93). Zahariev continues to be the team's primary setter tallying 654 set assists (8.84), although
Troy McDonald has earned time there as well (107/5.94). On the defensive side, libero
Paul Wyszynski contributes with the most digs (126/1.64) with Zahariev close behind (120/1.62).
Scouting #3 Penn State (20-3) EIVA (6-0)
The Nittany Lions are led by head coach Mark Pavlik in his 29th season. Last season, they went 16-0 in EIVA conference play and had five AVCA All-Americans. They swept Hard twice last weekend.
Toby Ezeonu leads the team in kills with 177 (2.16). Teammate Michal Kowal follows closely with 173 kills (2.40). The Nittany Lions have one main setter, Cole Bogner, with 868 assists. He ranks sixth in the country in assists per set (10.21). Defensively, they are led by Ryan Merk with 141 digs and Bogner with 135.
The Nittany Lions lead the all-time series 19-114.
