ORLANDO, Fla. – The George Mason University men's tennis team begins its A-10 Championship week on Thursday afternoon with a matchup against Davidson.
The Patriots are the No. 5 seed and will battle the fourth-seeded Wildcats at 3 p.m. The match will be held at the USTA National Campus, one of the top tennis facilities in the nation.
Fans can follow the match will live video of each court via the USTA National Campus website. In addition, live scoring is available through the Atlantic 10 website.
Mason has matched its highest-ever seed (No. 5) in the championship after putting together a strong league season. The Patriots went 3-2 in conference play and did not compete in their full allotment of matches due to weather cancelations vs. Davidson and Saint Joseph's.
The Patriots battled injuries for most of the spring season but hit their stride once senior
Momin Khan returned to the lineup in March. With their full arsenal of talent and Khan holding down the No. 2 singles slot, the Green & Gold won three of their last four dual matches and three consecutive A-10 tilts.

Rithik Sardana have once again put together outstanding dual campaigns. Rithik has won four matches at the No. 1 spot, while Rishab is a perfect 4-0 at No. 4. Mason has also enjoyed a strong youth movement, led by freshman
Monil Lotlikar (6-2 at No. 3 singles) and sophomore
Niza Simunyola (9-4 in dual action overall).
Long the Achilles' heel of the program over the past few seasons, the Patriots also have improved substantially in doubles play while tallying a 20-18 dual mark in 2023.
Rishab Sardana and Simunyola have tallied an 8-4 mark at No. 2, while Lotlikar and fellow freshman
Alvaro Pedraza are 3-1 at No. 3.
With a victory on Thursday, Mason would move on to battle top-seeded VCU on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
