Fairfax, Va. – The George Mason golf team will play in the 51st annual Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio State, April 21-23.
The 16-team field will play a three-day tournament featuring three rounds at the par 71, 7,455 Scarlet Course at The Ohio State Golf Club.
The Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, established in 1969 was named for the late Robert Kepler, who served as Ohio State's coach from 1938 until 1965. Since its inception, the Kepler has been won by only a dozen schools -- Colorado, Eastern Michigan, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Illinois, Kent State, Louisville, Miami (OH), Northwestern, Ohio State, UNLV, and Xavier. The Buckeyes have hoisted the the tournament champion trophy 24 times.
The Patriots are led by a pair of freshmen.
Samir Davidov has played in all nine tournaments and leads the Patriots with a 73.59 stroke average.
Aryan Vuradi has played in eight tournaments with a 73.71 stroke average. Both are currently in the top 15 in Mason history for season stroke average.
