FAIRFAX, Va. – The Patriots Men's Volleyball Team is traveling to State College, Pa., to face-off against the Harvard Crimson in the first round of the EIVA Conference Tournament.

Last weekend, the Patriots defeated Harvard twice by scores of 3-0 and 3-1. Over the course of those games,
Liam French led the offense, with 37 kills (.359%), three aces, four block assists and 8 digs. Defensively, middle blocker
Lucas Little tallied four kills (.400%), two aces, one solo block, five block assists and two digs.
The Patriots are seeded 4th in the conference tournament.
So far this season,
Omar Hoyos leads the team in kills with 286 (3.53 per set) and
Liam French is second with 254 (2.99). Zahariev continues to be the team's primary setter tallying 730 set assists (8.80), although
Troy McDonald has earned time there as well (166/6.64). On the defensive side, libero
Paul Wyszynski contributes with the most digs (145/1.69) with Zahariev close behind (136/1.64).
Scouting Harvard (9-15) EIVA (2-8)
The Crimson are led by head coach Brian Baise in his 15th season. Last season, they went 12-13 and earned the #2-seed in the EIVA conference tournament.
Zach Berty leads the team in kills with 185 (2.47). Teammate Kade McGovern follows closely with 181 kills (2.59). Harvard has one main setter, James Bardin, with 665 assists (8.01). Defensively, they are led by Logan Shepherd with 132 digs and Bardin with 110.
The Patriots lead the all-time series 19-11.
