Harvard used a 3-0 run to take the lead at 19-18, but a kill by Colin Heath and ace by Lucas Little put the Patriots ahead 20-19. Unfortunately, another 3-0 run by Harvard helped them secure the set (23-25).

The Patriots put their foot back on the gas in the third, jumping out to an 8-5 lead. They held the lead the rest of the set and extended the lead to six by the end of the set (25-19). Four Patriots recorded a block and six posted a kill.

The fourth and final set went down to the wire. The Patriots trailed early on (3-8) but tied the game at 14. Each team kept the set within a couple of points as it neared its end (20-20).
