FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason University men's basketball forward Josh Oduro has been named to the All-Atlantic 10 First Team while guard Victor Bailey Jr. has earned a spot on the All-Academic Team, the league office announced Tuesday.

One of the nation's best forwards, Oduro is the only two-time All-A-10 selection in program history and the first two-time all-conference player at George Mason since Jai Lewis (2004, 2006).

Oduro's exceptional efforts in conference play have been a driving force in the Patriots matching program bests in A-10 wins (11) and A-10 Championship seed (5) heading into this week's tournament in Brooklyn.

A, two-time A-10 Player of the Week (Jan. 16, Feb. 20), Oduro leads the A-10 in rebounding (9.1 rpg) and offensive rebounding (3.18 orpg) in league play and ranks sixth in scoring (17.6) and eighth in field goal percentage (.580). An outstanding all-around player, he also is t-12th in blocks (0.9 bpg), t-21st in steals (1.1 spg) and 23rd in assists (2.3 apg).

The Gainesville, Va., product leads the A-10 and ranks 28th nationally with 12 double-doubles. He also ranks in the top-50 nationally in overall field goal percentage (.554). He tallied 10+ points in all 18 Atlantic 10 contests and poured in 20+ points in eight contests overall.

Oduro is one of just 19 active players nationally with 1300+ career points, 700+ rebounds, 150+ assists and 100+ blocks. He is one of four players in George Mason history to accomplish the feat.

Bailey Jr. is the second A-10 All-Academic selection in program history, joining D'Shawn Schwartz (2022). He has excelled in the classroom during his season in Fairfax while posting a 3.58 GPA in his sport coaching grad program.

On the court, he put together one of the best offensive performances in program annals while leading the A-10 in 3pt FG percentage (.470). He also is eighth in the league in 3pt FG made/game (2.29) and second on the Patriots in scoring (11.8 ppg). He scored 10+ points in 14 games this season before suffering a hand injury on Feb. 4 that has caused him to miss the past seven games.

Oduro, Bailey and the Patriots open the Atlantic 10 Championship as the No. 5 seed on Wednesday (March 8). The Patriots have a first-round bye and will face the winner of No. 12 Richmond/No. 13 Massachusetts on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The game will be televised nationally on USA Network.
