Fairfax, Va. – The George Mason golf program opens its spring championship season schedule this Sunday at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate hosted by UNC Greensboro. Mason will face its largest field of the season battling 20 other teams.
 
Mason will be without its top golfer grad student JP Miller. A preseason injury has knocked the grad student out of the line-up and from defending his title at the 2022 Advance Golf Partners Collegiate. The medalist honors marked Miller's first collegiate win and helped George Mason to a third-place finish in the 21-team field last season.
 
Fall Recap 
Grad student JP Miller, sophomore Seth Conway, and freshman Samir Davidov were the only Patriots to play in all four fall tournaments. Miller led the team with a 72.25 stroke average followed by Davidov (72.58).
 
Davidov had the best individual finish for Mason, finishing runner-up at the Doc Gimmler Intercollegiate played at Bethpage State Park Red Course. Davidov finished with a 12-under par 198 (69-64-65), the second best three-round score in Mason history in a 54-hole tournament. The effort earned Davidov Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors.
 
Mason had two Top 5 team finishes in the four fall tournaments, led by a third-place finish in the Doc Gimmler Intercollegiate played at Bethpage State Park Red Course. The Patriots finished fifth at the River Run Collegiate held in North Carolina in September.
