BOSTON, Mass. -- The Patriots competed at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational Saturday hosted by Boston University.

Field Events

Grace Gaudin posted another good performance in the weight throw placing 3rd (18.26m). In the triple jump, the Patriots had three athletes in the top 10 with another placing 11th. Those were led by Grace Furlong in 2nd (12.17m), Kelsey Sebwe, (7th, 11.71m), Dhiambi Otete (10th, 11.44m) and Laura DeMarzi in 11th (11.35). Sebwe also placed 5th in the long jump (5.33m). 

On the men's side, Arun Mantena earned 5th in the long jump with a distance of 6.78m Garsen Gross won bronze in the weight throw (17.28m), followed by Arsalan Yaqubi in 6th (16.57m) and Robert Kestyn and Kevin Ciocco in 8th and 9th (15.94m, 15.39m).

"It was a very productive weekend," said Coach Gerard. We were able to use the two-day format to accomplish quite a bit in terms of actual results but the callousing of a two day meet from the perspective of energy management, team support and building and maintaining momentum was really important. All the event groups made some excellent progress - still some things to continue to build but overall a good mid-season springboard."

Track Events

In the 60m hurdles, Dean Johnson and Albert Asare finished in 6th and 8th (8.34, 8.42). Makai Lewis placed 8th (1:05.74) in the 500m and Isaiah Carter in 9th in the 200m (21.54). Jack Ikenberry snagged 4th in 3k with a time of 8:08.70. Ryan Brooks, Micah Harris, Makai Lewis and Aidan Walcott won the bronze in the 4x400m (3:15.20).

Sarah Francis placed 4th in the 5k with a time of 17:07.51. KellyAnn Downer, Khia Holloway, Michka-Mae Hyde and Adia Palmer finished in 7th in the 4x400m(3:46.21). In the 3k, Annabelle Eastman earned 8th at 9:35.13.

Crimson Elite Invitational

Cason Gardner continued his heptathlon finishing in 2nd place with 5,130 points.
