FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team will return to EagleBank Arena on Saturday for the first time since Nov. 18 to open Atlantic 10 play against La Salle.

In a rematch of last year's Atlantic 10 Second Round, both teams look to open the conference season with a victory. The Patriots and Explorers will meet for the 18th time on Saturday, with all but two meetings coming as members of the Atlantic 10. La Salle holds a 6-11 record over the Patriots and won six-straight meetings dating back to the 2019 A-10 Tournament. However, the Patriots snapped that streak and avenged last season's regular-season loss with the tournament win on March 2, 2023 with a 64-58 win.

Mason is coming off a come-from-behind victory just over a week ago at Towson, downing the Tigers on the road, 83-76. La Salle fell to city rival Villanova in its' final non-conference game, 74-60.
