Fairfax - George Mason has been selected to finish third in the 2024 EIVA Preseason Coaches Poll. The Patriots are only behind Penn State and Princeton who were the finalists for the 2023 EIVA Championship. Mason ended their 2023 season with an overall record of 13-15 and a conference record of 4-6, but now with a healthy squad and new recruits, Mason are in the top 3 and have also received one first-place finish vote from a conference coach. 

The Puerto Rican international, Omar Hoyos and redshirt sophomore Liam French have been selected as the 2024 EIVA players to watch. Both Omar Hoyos and Liam French were the top 2 players in kills last season, leading the team's offense. Omar made 322 kills taking the first spot and Liam was right behind with 291 kills. 

George Mason start off the 2024 season on the west coast at Santa Barbara, California on January 4th against UC San Diego. The first home game will be on March 2nd against Saint Francis University.
